Free Young Artist Studio: Design Your Own Shield

Inspired by the upcoming Shakespearean production at RiverPlace, young artists are invited to paint a shield that represents YOU! Using foam board, tagboard, and acrylic paints, young artists will design and decorate their own personalized shield from start to finish. Take inspiration from the crests, colors, and symbols of Shakespeare’s time, then add your own creative twist!

Your shield could represent where you’re from, your favorite hobby or sport, your school spirit colors, or you can even design your own family crest! Fill your shield with things that are meaningful to you. Come ready to create, paint, and have fun!
