Are you interested in being an instructor for Summer History Camp? If you or someone you know would be willing to help, let us know!

This year our theme is Cultures of Warroad. We will be highlighting a specific culture to Warroad on each day of the camp. Monday will focus on Native American culture, Tuesday will focus on Scandinavian, Wednesday will focus on Lao/SE Asian, and Thursday will focus on Cuban/Hispanic.

What we are asking of instructors is to educate the kids through a single or multiple activity/activities. Specific dances, food, art, songs, games, that could be shown to kids to educate them. We tend to start with some history that covers the significance of the culture in the area and then branch off into the activities.

For logistics. Summer History Camp will run from June 15th-19th. Our classes are split into two groups of 12 students. One from 9am-12pm and the other 1pm-4pm. Age group of the students will be kids who have just completed 3-5 grades or 9-11 years old. We would cover the cost of supplies and we do have money as a stipend for your time. We also would be willing to cover lunch for you as well. Monday the class will be at the museum. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday the class will be located at the RiverPlace with access to the kitchen.

Or if you want to assist with the programming on a volunteer bases alone, please reach out.
